Tridonic has announced the introduction of a rectangular OLED lighting engine that will be part of the Lureon Rep product line along with the previously introduced square modules. This product has a luminous efficiency of up to 50 lm/W. The company also announced the launch of a new generation of TALEXX engine Stark LED modules that increase light efficiency from 77 lm/W to 140 lm/W.
The rectangular OLED module measures 200 x 50 mm and has a thickness of less than 3 mm. Like all OLEDs, inherently diffused light is emitted via the illuminated surface. The target applications for this OLED module are table lamps, decorative lighting and chandeliers. Adjustable or non-adjustable versions are available.
Although the system has a luminous efficacy of 50 lm/W, which lags behind the LED basic products, the performance is better than the traditional source and is suitable for multiple applications of planar lighting. Lighting designers are often concerned about the light quality and efficacy of such products. The color temperature of the module is neutral 4000K. Although the color rendering index is greater than 90, the company indicates that the color tolerance is in accordance with the MacAdam 4 standard.
LED downlight module
Solid-state lighting products developers are committed to downlight fixtures, while using the TALEXXengine STARK NEW DLE module to increase the system luminous efficiency to 140lm/W. The color temperature of this module is set to 3000K and 4000K, and the color rendering index is greater than 80. The MacAdam 3 standard has minimal color tolerance.
The module has a diameter of 65mm, and the LED downlight module in the system has an ultra-thin appearance height of only 20mm. The company said that the enlarged illuminating surface can effectively reduce glare and can be applied to meeting rooms and educational institutions with higher requirements.
In order to match the new downlight module, Tridonic offers a series of adjustable and non-adjustable TALEXXconverter drives. Product developers can choose between 30W and 35W versions for specific applications. The lumens of the lighting engine range from 1100 to 3000 lm, and the drive module pair has a service life of up to 50,000 hours and a five-year system warranty.
