LED lamp prices oscillated down

The main sources of price decline are two factors: On the one hand, technology continues to drive LED production costs to make prices drop with a source of power. At present, mainstream LED bulbs use more medium-power chips. Medium-power chips have less heat dissipation than low-power chips, and their prices are lower than high-power chips. On the other hand, fierce market competition makes "price war" an important competitive means for enterprises. Companies such as Philips took the initiative to provoke a price war and further narrow the spread with domestic brands. In addition, in order to meet the market demand, companies have targeted some of the new LED light bulb products have shortened their life (originally 20,000 hours, now less than 15,000 hours), but also reduce production costs.

On the one hand, the price war is conducive to narrowing the gap between LED lamps and incandescent lamps and CFLs and accelerating the penetration of the terminal market. Based on the price of 5W LED replacement bulbs produced by Philips Lighting, the price ratio between LED lamps and CFL lamps has been reduced to 1.8 times. According to the average price of 40W incandescent bulbs, the average price of LED bulbs with the same luminous efficacy in August was 15.7 yuan, while the CFL price was about 10 yuan. The price drop makes LED lighting products more competitive than other products such as energy-saving lamps, and the market may inflection point. On the other hand, the price war will accelerate industry consolidation and survival of the fittest, forcing companies to reduce costs, strengthen management, optimize resources, integrate supply chains, enhance their competitiveness and meet market explosions, but at the same time establish branding and accelerate transformation for domestic and especially small and medium enterprises. The transformation to the high end of the value chain presents challenges. At the same time, the industry also needs to prevent vicious price competition and sacrifice price quality for prices.
