· The system is based on the Sitara ™ AM335x processor. This scalable solution based on ARM® Cortex®-A8 provides extensive market support. The TI AM335x processor has a performance of 300 MHz to 1 GHz and supports the implementation of multiple streaming protocols on a single chip, including AirPlay, DLNA, and proprietary audio post-processing protocols. In addition, it can also be used as an application host processor. This can help OEM manufacturers reduce the number of chips and reduce costs while increasing functionality;
· The TI WiLink ™ 8 combo connection solution is integrated into this streaming audio solution, providing high-performance Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® / Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity, and has industry-leading coexistence :
o 2x2 MIMO and Maximum Ratio Integration (MRC) receiver can achieve excellent Wi-Fi performance and greater signal coverage;
o Wi-Fi direct connection and multi-purpose function can achieve synchronous connection for peer-to-peer streaming media on the network and different channels;
o Dual-mode Bluetooth and BLE protocol stacks that comply with the Bluetooth SIG standard support a wide range of configuration files;
· Aureus ™ high-performance audio DSP can be integrated in high-end streaming media devices that require Dolby Digital and DTS decoding algorithm support and can add custom audio post-processing functions;
· Customers can integrate TI AIC3206 audio codec for audio output and TPS650250 power management integrated circuit to minimize the overall system power consumption;
· The solution is compatible with TI Sitara Linux Software Development Kit (SDK) for easy programming, which will also include the AirPlay plug-in launched in the first half of 2014.

TI's comprehensive streaming audio solution helps consumers connect all their portable and home connected devices that support AirPlay and DLNA standards. TI ’s first multi-functional system solution supports AirPlay, which enables streaming audio content from iOS devices to remote speakers or TVs.
